To all “Model T” and “Model A” Car Clubs:
The Bucyrus Tourism and Visitors’ Bureau is celebrating their 10th birthday this year. We are planning many events during the year to celebrate this occasion. On Friday and Saturday, May 20 and 21 - we are planning a couple of days for Model T and Model A Cars to have a Rendezvous. We would like to invite your Club to join us for this Event. You may attend one or both days. There will be Itineraries for Open Houses on Friday and on Saturday. We will have a designated area for parking of the cars during this time. Many of the Open Houses will be within walking distance of each other but we will also have Open Houses in other areas. We are asking the businesses that are a part of the bureau to do something special – discounts, drawings or an idea of their own for each of you during this time. We will have something for each guest so they can be identified at each business. The Bureau will distribute goody bags – one per vehicle. On Friday evening, we will plan for a Speakeasy Dinner Theatre. The cost for this will be $35.00 per person inclusive. The Show “Roaring Twenties Live” (new faces and music this year has been added to the history), will be presented at 5:00 p.m. followed by hors d’oeuvres and two meat buffet dinner with all the trimmings. At the dinner, everyone will have a chance to become acquainted and the opportunity to make new friends. Entry fee will be $10.00 for each vehicle to be entered into the Special Awards segment. There will be three categories for the Model T and three categories for the Model A. Our Bureau is planning this event for each of you and the special vehicle you are driving. This event will be advertised so others may come to Bucyrus to admire your cars. We are hoping to make this an Annual Event and hope your Car Club will join the other clubs and our Bureau for the First Annual Model T and Model A Rendezvous.
